About Clientvo

Clientvo is software for keeping customer due diligence files. It publishes a free checklist that sizes what a firm has to collect on a customer at each risk rating, and it sells a subscription that keeps the resulting files: one record per customer with its rating, its evidence, its approver and the date it is next due a review. It is built and run by Ellul Solutions Ltd.

Why this site exists

This site exists because the hardest question in customer due diligence is not what to collect, it is producing what you collected eighteen months later. Firms answer the first question well and the second badly, and the gap is a shared drive with no review dates in it.

Who it is for

the person who owns KYC at a small United States firm that is regulated for who its customers are: a fintech, a lender, a payments company, a money services business, an insurer, a marketplace onboarding sellers

not a bank, not a compliance team running alert queues, and not anyone shopping for a screening or monitoring vendor

What it does not do

  • no legal advice, and never a ruling on whether a regulation applies to your business
  • no vendor ranking: we sell one of the things in this category and we are not going to pretend to referee it
  • no screening, no transaction monitoring and no identity capture, and no judgement about a customer we have not seen

What is on this site

1 free tools, each working its figure on the page with no account, and Clientvo Pro that keeps the record. All tools · Pricing.

What Clientvo Pro keeps

The worksheet tells you the shape of the work. Pro holds the work itself: one record per customer, the evidence attached to it, the approval on it and a due date that comes round whether or not anyone remembers.

Who answers for it

Joe Ellul, Founder, Ellul Solutions Ltd.
